Exhibitions - A Marketing Support
Exhibitions are organised to promote sale of handicrafts, launching of new designs and to popularise the products. The artisans get an opportunity to sale their products directly to the customers and have interaction with the customers to know the demand and study the taste of the buyers.
The following fairs/festivals are regularly held at district level every year. Exhibitions are held during those events to promote sale of handicrafts.

The following exhibitions are held at state level regularly where Handicrafts goods are exhibited and sold by the Societies/NGOs/Artisans.
1. Adivasi Exhibition
2. Enterprise 2002, Exhibition Ground, Unit-III, Bhubaneswar
State level exhibitions are also organised by ORMAS, Mahila Vikas Samabaya Nigam and other organisations, like Director of Tourism, etc. on special occasion.
Following exhibitions and fairs are organised at National level where the artisans from the state get scope to display and sale their products.

Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Govt. of India organises Craft Bazar and Expos at different places of the country to promote sale of Indian handicrafts. The artisans / societies from Orissa participate as per the quota.
Following Urban Haats have been established with assistance from Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) to promote sale of Indian Handicrafts by the artisans throughout the year on rotation basis.

2. Ekamra Haat, Bhubaneswar, Orissa
3. Karnal Haat, Haryana
4. Tirupati Haat, Andhra Pradesh
5. Jammu Haat, Jammu & Kashmir
Artisans from the state participate in the above Haats as per the quota fixed by Development Commissioner (Handicrafts).
i. Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) provides assistance to NGOs/State Handicrafts Corporation/Primary Co-op Society in the following pattern for holding exhibition outside the state.
Estimated Cost - Rs.1.60 lakhs
Grant by D.C. (H) - Rs.1.20 lakhs
Contribution of the Organisation - Rs.0.40 lakhs
ii. State Government provides assistance to Primary and apex handicrafts co-op. societies in the following manner for holding / participating exhibition outside the state.
· For Primary Handicrafts Co-operative Society.
a. Ground Rent upto - Rs.7,500/-
b. Transportation of Exhibition - Rs.5,000/-
c. TA - IInd Class Train Fair to 2 artisans.
d. DA to artisans as admissible to Grade-II Officers of State Govt. for 7 days.
· For Apex Organisation As per merit.
