Extension of financial assistance to coir entrepreneurs for establishment of new coir units and modernization/renovation of existing coir units.

25% of the cost of the equipment and infrastructural facilities subject to prescribed ceiling upto 2.00 lakhs

Insurance coverage to coir workers.

For providing insurance coverage to coir workers meeting accidental death, permanent /total disability or permanent / partial disability.

b)                Permanent / partial disability / loss of one limb / one eye 12,500/‑

Coir workers aged 14 years and above engaged in production of coir goods.

Establishment of common facility centre.

To provide modern facilities for bleaching and dyeing of coir fibre & yarn.

100% grant as per requirement.

Coir unit/Coop. Societies functioning in a centrally located place committed to provide service facilities to other unit nearby on payment of service charge.

Mahila Coir Yojana

It is women oriented self employment programme which envisages distribution of motorised spinning ratts to trained women spinners.

. One time subsidy to the tune of 75% of the cost of motorised ratt.
